If this dude doesn’t win, I’ll never watch “Idol” again. Which will be no different than what I do now. I’m efficient that way.
i only ever watch “Idol” once this season, cause i like MC, and they were doing her songs.
i dont know if you caught his rendition of “Always be my Baby” but it was fabulous!
I only watched the week they did Beatles songs but this was certainly interesting. I prefer MJs version cause Thriller is my joint but this certainly wasn’t bad, kind of like when Marylin Manson did Baby One More Time but better.
I tivo it and skim it while doing work-related crap. David Cook is pretty rad, though I’m a fan of Jason Castro (despite him being a one-trick pony).
He actually got that version from someone else. I heard the guy who did it originally on the radio like the week after David Cook did it on Idol. Too bad I can’t remember his name.
Hopefully he wont win and he’ll break out as a star instead of being stuck with the Idol contract.
I’ve heard the original of that vesion and I think David did a great thing in choosing it instead of the MJ one. (Just as Jason scored doing that cool version of Over the Rainbow).
They’re not required to be original arrangers - they just need to choose the right arrangement for their style.
I’m in love with the boys this season… I don’t think any of the girls are very good. I love me some David Cook. Love him. The best part about a good cover song is having it be better than the original. (Cake doing “I Will Survive”, etc.) Yum.
I am so ready for someone with this sound to win. He is AMAZING!! I was crushed when Chris Daughtrey (sp) didn’t win, but this guy really should. I like Archuleta, but this guy kicks ass!
